So.. I just found out The Pirate Bay has been acquired and the new owners wish to turn it legit. As in no more pirated stuffs. A sad day indeed for P2Pers everywhere. I believe the reason why someone would want the site is directly related to the amount of press and visits the site sees per day hoping to capitalize on its notoriety in time before the transition forces the community away and all interest is lost. I predict shit tons of adverts on the site in the coming months. Truely earth shattering.

Edit: Upon further reading they say "may be" changing owners. However the extent to which they are pleased with this possible venture it is almost certain it will happen if it hasn't already.
