Sins Of A Neverwinter Deadlock Showtime

Photobucket
Huge download surge. I downloaded Sins Of A Solar Empire, Neverwinter Nights 2, Deadlock, And Rakugaki Showtime for the PSX. Sins was much of what I expected. Plays Like Homeworld only looks fancier and presents a larger scale. I must say I am tired of the "In the future mankind teeters on the brink of extinction... and three races battle for ultimate control!" formula but this game is pretty stellar in its own way. Still not convinced it will hold my attention for more than 3 minutes. As it really hasn't so far.

Neverwinter Nights 2 I downloaded as I have been meaning to for a while, but yesterday I found out that D&D father Gary Gygax passed away recently, and I wish to play NWN as a tribute to someone who effectively jump started the RPG that we know today.

Deadlock is a game from my past that I have been trying to get a hold of for a while. The torrent gods smiled favorably upon me and my file was much seeded. It's just yer alien races battle for a planet game with civ building mechanics. It's has a particular charm of which I can't ignore. Bits of humor and the like. Spooooooonnnnn!!!

Rakugaki Showtime is another title I have been trying to nab for at least a year. I had no luck until my buddy gave me a torrent file from black-cats games which had a marginally seeded version of the game. It's a party fighting game type of thing where visually everything looks like crayon doodled paper cutouts which looks pretty neat I'll try it tonight and rave about it tomorrow.

Orochi!

I had a mind-gasm when I saw this. The fusion of Dynasty Warriors and Samurai warriors. And apparently its slated for the Personal Computer. This little pirate is sexually excited :)

Echochrome

Want this one. It will be released on PS3 and PSP. No release date yet. I am interested in anything that employs optical illusions as an integral part of gameplay. The simplicity of the interface also gets me excited.

The Letter D

Downloading Fire Pro Wrestling D for Dreamcast. Never played any of the series but it looks to be an interesting idea. Dream team wrestler action taking wrestlers from all over the world. It has a particular cartoon style which I find intriguing.

Also downloaded Disgaea: Afternoon Of Darkness. Enjoying it thus far. Like FFT only you can throw exploding penguins. Not a huge fan of all the anime tv show inspired cutscene stuff. However the game is quite humorous.

Front Mission Online

Photobucket

Would have liked to see this one in the US. Being a fan of the series, well mostly just FM3, and big robot anything, I am sad to miss out on this one. It seems to change the whole scheme of being turn-based strategy, but it looks as though it keeps the same sense of scale I appreciate i.e. 30-40 foot tall sexy robot action, stomping around in a city sprawl blasting the shit out of other robots.

I was also unhappy to discover that there is seemingly no way for me to aquire this title (even if Japanese). On top of that poop, there appears to be no interest of folks around here to attempt to localize it or mod it or any such thing. And my lazy ass sure as hell aint gonna try no programmin er nuffin.

Ah well. I guess my big robo fantasies are to go unsatiated. Yet again.
